The District of Columbia Chapter of the Accounting and Financial Women's Alliance (AFWA) offers undergraduate and graduate scholarship opportunities for eligible candidates. The next scholarship opportunity is intended for use for the Fall 2026 - Spring 2027 academic year. One scholarship in the amount of $1,500 will be awarded in the Spring of 2026.
 

Application Deadline: April 30, 2026

 
Scholarship Criteria: Scholarship candidates will be reviewed on leadership, character, communication skills, scholastic average, and financial need. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Majoring in accounting or finance
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent)
- For undergraduate student applicants: Must have completed or will complete sophomore year of college (or 60 semester hours or the equivalent) by the end of the Spring 2026 semester
- For graduate student applicants: Must be enrolled in or accepted to a master's degree program by the time of the application deadline

 

Scholarship candidates are not required to be student members of the AFWA District of Columbia Chapter but are encouraged to join. Additional details about joining the Chapter can be found at https://dcchapterafwa.org/join.php.
